The real treasure of Moldova is wine! The contour of the Republic of Moldova on the world map is similar to a bunch of grapes.
Viticulture - symbol of our country. Since ancient times, it is known for its unique wines. Generations change each other, but the wine remains to describe the richness, quality and history of our land.
That is why the National Wine Festival was established in the Republic of Moldova celebrated every year on the second Sunday of October. An old tradition got its formal recognition: when the wine fermentation process is over, the wine producers invite their friends and relatives to appreciate the quality and taste of the new wine.

Nearly 100 wineries, thousands of visitors, including tourists from all around the world gather on this day in the central square of Chisinau with the name of «Grand National Assembly».

Festival is an excellent opportunity to discover Moldova! Anyone who has visited at least once the Wine Festival in Moldova won’t forget these bright impressions. The festivities begin with a parade of wine producers.
Then, under the accompaniment of the world-famous dance group "Joc", the symbolic performance begins - from the grapes, specially brought from all over Moldova by the parade participants the "wine of friendship" is being made.

Spectacular indeed! Here, every company is trying to show itself in the best way: bright costumes, everything is moving, dancing, singing, and having fun. Participants’ procession is stretched for kilometers.
After the parade a bright show and award ceremony is organized at which the country's officials award prizes for the best wine-making enterprises in various categories - «Golden barrel», «Golden Vine», «Dionysus», «Heritage of the country», «New Wine», «The best traditional cuisine presentation».
